I’ve heard it said that if you want something done give it to a busy person. As I look back over my life I realize this to be true. In the past I worked full-time, had family commitments, cooked, cleaned, belonged to a couple of outside groups, and managed to spend time doing crafts, all without being exhausted. Over the last year, I worked part-time, and tried to write in the afternoons, and get some crafts done. It was a strain to find time to do it all…
The last couple of weeks my planner has been full with outside appointments and commitments, work, writing, and crafting. Things I need to get done in a timely manner – important things. I find it strange but the more that is in the schedule the more I can do. Instead of overwhelming I find it motivating. Here’s to a year with a relatively full schedule with all its motivation!
Further to last week’s blog, I want to report that Serendipity is still playing a part in my life.
Yesterday I got a parking spot close to where my appointment was, a great deal on something I wished to purchase, and the weather cooperated all day and I didn’t have to drive in the snow. Some may see these as little things but to me they were big. They added a little bit of joy to my day. Anything that can do that is big is my books.
Today is shaping up to be another great day. Although it’s cold out, and there are a few flurries in the air, the sun is trying hard to peek out. In my neck of the woods, we are only expecting flurries with no real accumulation. I’ve heard that in other parts of my province school has been cancelled due to last night’s snow, but locally, we didn’t receive a lot of snow and school is still open. I’m sure the kids where I live are not seeing this as serendipity. 🙂
